Sheraton Birmingham

Liked: The room; the location and it's proximity to the concert; the amenities at the hotel.

Liked: Beautiful hotel; great personnel; very good experience.
Disliked: Reservation included free internet (was not given password and login said I would have to pay $10 a day) and included free breakfast but did not say where, so I went to Atrium cafe and only after being seated did I learn the breakfast was on Club level. Having better information upon arrival would have been great.

Liked: Beds were comfortable.
Disliked: We reserved and requested 2 king rooms - at check in was told only doubles were left. Also, in our room there was a dress hanging on the back of the bathroom door.

We had a wonderful stay. We were in town for the Kid Rock concert - the rooms were very nice and clean and the staff was great. Everything we needed was right there at the Sheraton. We will stay here again - we are very pleased and the staff is just awesome.

Where to start - got to hotel late, checked in to find out no pool or jacuzzi for the kids. Then the receptionist said that parking was $20 a night and I said I would park it. But she then said that there were repairing the nearest car park that you can walk to, so I just brushed it off - she said she would give it to me for free for that night. Got in to the room, and in the shower there was a huge roach! Got out, packed up, wanted to check out but it was after midnight and the kids begged me to stay so we would be close for concert. The manager on duty got me another room and it was as nice as the other one - had a balcony. So he did try, but I was exhausted and just wanted to leave - I felt dirty - they said they would give us passes to YMCA to use their pool but who wants to go swim down the street and come back wet and cold - not impressed at all.

Liked: It had a skywalk to BJCC for the concert, that's it.
Disliked: Very unclean - I have stayed in a lot of places and this by far was the worst!

We stayed at the Sheraton Birmingham for the recent Justin Bieber concert. The hotel arranged for the young people attending the concert to make posters and had Justin Bieber movies playing in the atrium level. It really made my daughter feel like a part of the concert experience. Check in was quick and easy even with a lobby full of screaming adolescent girls. Great job!
