Nice place but needs a...

Liked: The motel host was nice and helpful with our request . Room was nice but few extras like Kleenex, cups, no coffee maker.
Disliked: Luckily we brought a fan during the night the street noise was pretty loud at times.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and let us check in early. The beds were comfortable and we were able to control the room temperature to our liking. The location was perfect. The whole place is being renovated.
Disliked: Nothing. Will stay there again if we are in the area.

Liked: Room was very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Water in shower was hot and excellent water pressure. Great location, walking distance to downtown Ocala.
Disliked: Some folks may not enjoy the room decor. I find it to be cute & unique.

Small room twin size bed

Disliked: The room had a twin sized trundle bed and a king sized bed. The trundle had blankets and pillows on it that were very filthy. The pull out bed under it was even worse! Hair, dust, just pure filth. Same with king bed, the blanket looked like it had never been washed. Dust covered a lot of items in the room. A small frig sat on an old entertainment center and it was flooded with dust. The bathroom! Wow. Ok the tub leaked from the bottom out onto the floor. Very little water pressure. The towels had a horrible odor to them. Dust lined the walls. The bathroom sink would not drain so when we looked under it, in the cabinet below, there was an old rag and some other things that were soaked with stained water and smelled horrible. The rugs and flooring hadn't been swept or mopped in a long time. The door lock was not working properly and took about 5 minutes each time to get it to engage and lock. The vertical blinds were covered in about a 1/4" dust from top to bottom! I will never stay there again not recommend it to anyone!

Charming rooms, good price, and...

Liked: The room was as quaint as we expected from the online photos. It was a historic "Old Florida" motel. They gave us the room that still has the only original bathtub and did not charge us more for it. It is located near old downtown, so there are lots of restaurants and businesses in walking distance.
Disliked: The electronic room key had a mind of its own and would lock and unlock when you didn't want it to. The TV did not work when we arrived, and it took the manager about a half hour to reprogram it. He did not apologize for the inconvenience. There is rack for hanging clothes, but no hangers. The manager brought over a couple of his own, but seemed to think we were being unreasonable to expect the room to have them. Finally, a pipe broke, leaving the hotel with no water: no sink, no shower, no flushing toilet. The manager could not give us a timeframe for when it would be repaired. When we asked to be refunded for the last night, he did so, but he waited for us to ask instead of offering. He never apologized for the inconvenience.
