Why Concert-goers love it

Selina NQ1 Manchester is just a 15-minute walk to Manchester Arena, one of the city’s top concert venues. You're steps from bustling bars and Metrolink stations like Shudehill, which makes getting home after a late gig easy. The vibe is lively but the rooms offer a quiet retreat, and the 3pm check-in gives you time to settle in before heading out.

What People Say

Guests love the central location and its easy access to public transport and live music venues. Reviewers often mention the hotel’s cool, artsy decor and the community vibe. Many highlight the clean rooms and helpful staff, especially for budget travelers.

Areas for Improvement

Disappointed

Liked: It was a bed for the night and a roof over my head. The staff were fabulous.
Disliked: Firstly, NO kitchen was available as advertised, which was one of the reasons to stay there. The staff at least had a fridge brought down into the reception area so we had a place to put our food. The shower door had a huge hole in it. When someone had a shower, it room became "flooded" which was then a health and safety issue. No mat was supplied to help alleviate this problem. The toilet was dirty.

Malacuna visit

Liked: I liked the location of the hotel although it was hard to locate on Google maps however the interior design was nice and was a pleasant time I spent in malacuna hotel, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was good also the fan was a key necessity as it was hot hence that helped alot
Disliked: The bedroom was not idle as other people in the room, I would've preferred a room with a double bed no other room mates.

Good reasonably priced hostel with...

Liked: Typical hostel in centre of MManchester, on lively Hilton Street, lined with bars and eateries. 10/15 minute from Manchester Piccadilly Train Station. 10 minute walk to Shudestreet Metrolink and bus station.Hostel has lift/elevator to all floors. Vegitarian breakfast offered daily in a bar next door for a fee. Includes scrambled egs, toast, a croissant, fruit yoghot, juice and tea/coffee. Tasty. The Wilson Social Bar is next door and served reasonably priced pub food and as good atmosphere, especially on weekends.OK door room with toilet and shower in room. Was in a 6 bed dorm. Was given a bootom bed, lockers underneath bed, small shelf by bed with plug socket and small lamp. Curtain on bed for privacy. Key card to open room door and access lift/elevator. Free reasonably speed WiFi.
Disliked: Terrible mattrus on bunk bed, lots of springs. No free breakfast. Hostel is hard nto find, signers could be larger and clearer.

Good

Liked: I really liked the place, facilities and the location. It is walking distance to everything. The place has 24 hours opening time. The beds are also very good. Good rooms
Disliked: The only problem is that there is a bar downstairs who played very loud music too long in the evening. The bass was loud. So you need headphones to sleep

Great beds, best location in...

Liked: The beds are huge and great, in the best part of the whole city in the northern quarter so everything is close by. Showers were great as well. Noise wasn’t an issue like some other people had if you have earplugs.
Disliked: I wish the windows could open more because it got ridiculously stuffy in the room during my stay. The kitchen being out of order due to renovation was unfortunate but I’m sure it’s for good reason.

Amazing location, friendly staff.

Liked: The location is perfect, and the staff are really warm and helpful. The hotel was generally clean and conveniently located, making everything easy to access.
Disliked: Could be nice to have a socket in the bathroom.
