Liked: Location is good.
Disliked: Place is under refurbishment with lots of noise, strong paint smell and a lot of contruction works walking arround all day. I was asked to give my card details for "insurance" purposes and after paying on booking.com I was also charged by the hostel (double charged). The hostel said they are now a new company and my payment through booking.com "wasn't showing on their system). After complaining I was refunded.Overall I would avoid staying there unless you really don't have other alternatives which are cheap. Staff is not friendly, I had to wait for the room to be "cleaned" even after 15:00 check-in time. The painting in the toilet was all peeling off, windows extrelly dirty. The place doesn't look clean at all. You have to enter via a pub. It is a very strange place to stay.

Liked: It is really close to the town centre and the Philarmonica Hall.
Disliked: It could have been slightly cleaner and the shower was not adjustable which was a little uncomfortable.

Liked: Location was good (very close to city centre and tourist sites), amenities (soap, shampoo) were great, staff were friendly and helpful when our door lock stopped working
Disliked: Floor in the bathroom felt a bit dirty (also the wall hooked hangers are coming off), smell of paint was quite strong when we first arrived due to renovation (was no big deal, we got used to the smell quite quickly), tried contacting the hotel from the phone number about 3 times to no avail :(

Disliked: Hard to find, very stuffy

Great location but basic cleanliness...

Liked: The bed was comfortable and there was an ensuite, linens were clean and its great location.
Disliked: the room was quite dirty & dusty all over, stains on the duvet that you could see through the linens, hairs and tags on the floor. The shower door didn’t close, so water often leaked out and spread across the bathroom floor. It was quite noisy, sounded like work was going on in the building which woke us up at 7am which wasnt ideal and the bar area there was stacks of mattresses, we ordered pints of lager from the bar and they were shocking, tasted like unclean beer lines.
