Beautiful classic building, like living...

Liked: The bed was incredibly comfortable; I think I slept better those two nights than I had in weeks. There is a lot of street noise, sirens, loud people, etc., though they provide ear plugs and I had my little sound machine, so I was immune to the city noise. I had some pre-anxiety about having to share a bathroom, and I was definitely overthinking it; it was not a big deal at all and the facilities were very clean. The whole place feels intimate and welcoming as opposed to a commercial hotel with no personality. I loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone, especially solo travelers. The walls are thin and the wood floors are creaky, but I didn’t even know there were children across the hall until I saw them leaving. Will stay again when going to Astoria!

Liked: Great location and easily walkable to anywhere to visit in Astoria including quick walk to the trolley. Old world hotel was charming. The staff were very friendly and excited to see us.
Disliked: The bed could have been a queen instead of a double.

Not my best experience and...

Disliked: No staff was there, the grab and go area was not stocked, the ice machine was broken, the water dispenser was empty. There was some person who was punching the front door. And made a disturbance the whole night which ended in arrest. My room wasn’t very clean, dirty rugs and floor.The water in the shower was lukewarm. And every time I left there was random people in the common area who I don’t think where guest. A women was asleep on the couch for a long time.

Liked: Shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean.. Was impressed with how well kept this 100 year-old hotel was.
Disliked: There is no sound-proofing with it being 100 years old.
