Liked: Comfortable beds, excellent location, friendly staff.
Disliked: Shower floors looked like they needed more frequent cleaning.While it didn’t bother me, those who are early to bed might find the noise from the club downstairs disruptive.

Disappointing

Disliked: I chose this hostel due to its glowing reviews and to be honest felt a little let down. The whole place feels quite run down and dirty. The bathrooms could really do with an upgrade and a good clean, the same large clump of hair was in the showers for the whole 4 days I stayed. I stayed in both a private room and a dorm, the private room, did not look like pictures and the noise from outside the room/slamming of doors was very loud. The windows did also not close therefore there was a lot of noise from outside. Then moving into the dorm, the beds themselves were alright, I had a broken shelf and charger in mine but it’s a cheap hostel what can you expect. I found the other hostel guests to be quite rude and disrespectful one in particular consistently brining back other friends into their bunk and chatting late into the night. A lot of the noise issues actually seemed to be coming from the staff who could notably be heard sreaking and making a lot of noise late into the night. This added to the noise coming from the street.The common areas were a huge let down, every dish I looked at using was dirty, which was strange as there was signs everywhere saying $50 if you don’t clean up and there was also lots of plates and bowls lying everywhere, staff making too much noise to even notice. It in general just did not feel clean or well looked after. There was also not enough fridges as there was bags all pilled on top of each other. I am glad I was not alone and was I’m with my friend as I felt like it was very cliquey between the staff and the guests who were staying long term.Overall very disappointing as I had read lovely reviews but now thinking a lot of them were from staff/ friends and untrue. The overall cleanliness and the attitude of staff needs to be improved.
