Enjoyable

Liked: The hotel is in a great location directIy opposite the main railway station and is very near to shops and transport connections of buses and taxis.I found the room that I was allocated was comfortable and spacious. The room had a fridge and TV. The TV has a good selection of channels and several are english news channels.The breakfast is of a buffet style and I found the selection was very good.The staff at the hotel were very helpful and polite. Check in was very easy. There is a lift to all floors.
Disliked: The room had no facilities for tea or coffee making.There is no phone in the room to contact reception, only method really is to walk back to the desk

Great location and friendly staff

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — right across from the train station, which was super convenient. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was cozy, clean, and comfortable — exactly what I needed after a long day of travel. Would definitely stay here again!
Disliked: The only thing I missed was having a kettle and some cups in the room — that would’ve made it perfect.

All good with the hotel...

Liked: Very good size of the room, big bathroom, very good for three or four people.
Disliked: Located in the town centre, difficult to navigate through the traffic due to extensive roadwork right on front of the hotel.The only disadvantage was the parking, it is not located in the hotel but in parking near by, you need to ask reception for address, €10 per day for parking.

Lovely hotel in a perfect...

Liked: Lovely hotel in a perfect location for trains and trams if you want to travel around Germany. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Decor a little dated in the rooms but the shower was good and we always had plenty of hot water. The rooms were exceptionally clean which for me is the most important thing about a hotel. Breakfast was perfect and plentiful and had everything you could want for breakfast. Staff we always very friendly too. We will stay here again we had a lovely 3 night stay.

Liked: Good location, helpful staff. We had a problem with the air con & had to change rooms after one night, but helped by staff. Roadworks outside the hotel & around Essen made driving to the hotel & nearby car park difficult. Good sound insulation so room was very quiet despite the location. Did not have breakfast-v expensive. Shame no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
