Good place to stay, would...

Liked: Very nice staff, able to offer a slightly later checkout. Hotel was in good condition and well looked after.
Disliked: Seemed to be a bit difficult to find initially but well situated once located.

Great value-for-money

Liked: The location is excellent - quite central and within walking distance to many of the museum and historical sites. There is a Metro station within 5 minutes' walk. There is a mini-mart within 7 minutes' walk for essential groceries. There are a few eating places nearbyThe room was very cleanGreat value-for-money
Disliked: There were not enough teabags and no [long-life] liquid milk - only those powdered sachets. Luckily I took my own tea bags and long-life milk pods - learning from experience!The pillows were a little too soft which made sleeping slightly uncomfortable, but this is just my own personal preferenceThere were 2 windows - one had a curtain and one had a fixed blind which was not moveable, meaning natural light was lacking. I inquired about the blind twice with the reception staff but none of them got back to me - one gave me a tiny packet of Haribo sweets by way of a 'sorry' - rather pathetic TBH! They offered to change rooms, but doing that is too much hassle so I stayed in the same room

Exceptional

A good place if you...

Liked: I liked that the check-in and out process was simple, and the key cards to get in and out made coming and going easy (especially if you were coming back later after they lock up). Although my room was small, the layout was efficient. The room was relatively clean, as long as you didn't look too close. The layout of the hotel was good and easy to get around. I did enjoy the location the most. There are quite a few stations around, about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, so I found it really easy to get around.
Disliked: I had booked a standard room but was placed into a standard single instead, although I had paid extra. The room was clean at a first glance but it became more obvious with my stay that the room had not been properly cleaned in some time. The toilet needs a proper clean under the rim, the glass shower doors need to be cleaned around the edges. Maybe change out the mattress/ mattress protector with old blood stains?

Excellent stay

Liked: Very good location (around the corner from U Bahn (U6) and Checkpoint Charlie) made it very easy to get around - just a few stops from central locations. Hotel was very welcoming (thank you to young man on front desk who recommended us places to visit - certainly added to our visit experience). Very clean (and cleaned every day). Room absolutely fine for stay. There is no air conditioning as previous comments have mentioned, but fans are provided, and these were good for us.

Disliked: Location felt a bit isolated, rooms were quite hot, though appreciated the fan!
