Pleasant

Liked: Cooked breakfast was good. Location opposite Sefton Park was pleasant and convenient. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: No fruit, yoghurts or cereals laid out at breakfast, and the tea & coffee were left in a flask so not fresh.In our bedroom only the bottom half of the large sash window opened but slid shut by itself, so had to be propped open. Wall paper hanging off in the shower room. The room faced a busy road, traffic noise all night.No mention in the details of the steep steps up to the hotel entrance.

Good overnight stay

Liked: Nicely decorated hotel in great location opposite Sefton Park and a short walk from a good choice of restaurants. Parking in hotel grounds.
Disliked: Second floor, very small, room (no lift, so struggle with suitcase).

Liked: The proximity to Sefton Park is a great feature of this hotel. The connection to the city center is convenient. There are some very good restaurants nearby as well as some pubs with a lively atmosphere. The TV was very big and the picture quality was nice.
Disliked: The mattress was on the softer side which is a matter of preference. Unfortunately the old house has very thin walls which makes frisky neighbours annoying in the middle of the night.

Liked: Great location near the park and Lark lane. Very interesting Beatles photos and memorabilia on the landings of Stewart Sutcliffe.
Disliked: Car park small
