Ideal for 1 night no...

Liked: Great location and amazing view from large room windows. Nice firm bed. Hotel had character. Ideal if you are looking for a no frills stay.
Disliked: Very old and worn. Nothing going on e.g bar and food. No lift if needed (fire doors on stairs could cause restrictive access with wheeled suitcases). Had to ask for a second towel and no body wash or soap

Liked: Nothing!!! It is absolutely disgusting run down hole. We got there and couldn’t even enter the property. Was greeted by unreal people we them spoke to the hotel next door to see if we could stay there as we had nowhere to go after a 3 hour drive with a child. See informed us that this hotel is now used for the homeless and asylum seekers and they had no room either for us so we tried numerous places finally found a Travelodge which also is used for the same purpose apparently. Booking Com really need to vet the places they are adverting as a hotel this deffinately wasn’t and it sure wasn’t a place to take children. But had a call from the hotel today about our stay which they have told booking. Com we stayed when we never did. You need to contact this place and see what is going on there.

Disliked: No heating at night so cold at night or hot water at night No bar restaurant even though they got these just they don't use them still using COVID as a excuse so it is basically a hostel really

Liked: Upgraded to Double room as Single was small and cold. However single has a bath a bigger bathroom, the Double however was the opposite and has a bigger room to bathroom ratio and only a shower. But it has a Seaview which itself is part of the cheaper price. In other hotels would have a worse view and you can see over Torquey & Paignton/Preston cliffs. , where as the Single had No view as it looked onto a centre point of the building. Staff are excellent and cleaners helpful with extras like milk, Coffee etc. TV in all rooms could be updated to modern, but are suitable. Nice Fair trade coffee and Tea. Rooms need longer heating and updated boiler & heaters.

Disliked: DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!the hotel was very dirty and not maintained at all ,it smelt really bad in the room and bathroom also it smelt of smoke everywhere else.also, I paid for some extra nights as I needed to, but they refused to let me stay an extra night even though I paid for it, and they refused to give me a refund!Absolutely shockingly bad hotel
