I hope to return next...

Liked: Great location in beautiful Gorey, clean and comfortable room overlooking the harbour with the sound of the sea at night. Great choice of breakfast items and top quality.Staff all really friendly from start to finish.I would highly recommend staying here and it’s a great base to explore the East coast. I took a trip with Jersey Seafaris from St Catherine and Jersey walk adventures to Seymour Tower. Both within easy reach of Seascale plus a good selection of eateries, beaches & sights.

Beautiful location and great value

Liked: Great location, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff welcoming. Such good value for the location and nice to have a view over the water and hear the sound of the waves at night.Live music on Friday and Saturday night from the adjacent property was all good fun and not intrusive to my stay. Just a good crowd of people enjoying themselves. I only found out late in there is a good Thai cafe at the end of Gorey pier which I recommend

Budget hotel in a great...

Liked: Location is great, very near the castle and bus stop just across the road. Room was very clean.
Disliked: I received a message on day of check in to say that the hotel was closed on Tuesdays therefore no one would be there so I was sent a message with instructions on how to access my room. I had breakfast the next day which I can only say was good if you like a cooked breakfast, no cereals, yogurts or fresh fruit, I wasn’t really welcomed by any member of staff which as a solo passenger I was slightly surprised. I did have an evening meal on the Wednesday night in the restaurant and wished I hadn’t, a tuna salad which consisted of 4 big lettuce leaves, 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, 4 slices of cucumber and a great big amount of mayonnaise with some tuna mixed in all to the tune of £15.95. I did tell the waiter I wasn’t very happy but I think it fell on deaf ears. The room facilities are a little dated and I couldn’t open the window.

Loved the friendly staff, delicious...

Liked: Fabulous location on Gorey pier under the castle. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We arrived earlier than expected and were allowed access to the room so could leave cases and go off to explore. We ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious and big portions! Portuguese dishes were excellent. My husband had skate from the specials menu, which he enjoyed very much. The breakfast was also excellent, also big portions! Hubby had porridge followed by the small breakfast - Cumberland sausage particularly tasty! I had a bowl of refreshing fruit salad and a mountain of scrambled eggs and toast. Set us up for the day!The room we had (room 5), was huge and on 2 levels - bathroom and bedroom. Faced onto the roof away from the sea but the extra space was lovely. Bed very comfortable. Room a little warm even with the window open but it was the end of a heatwave! Shower very good.
Disliked: I was slightly disappointed that the only toiletries in the bathroom were a soap dispenser in the shower. We had stayed elsewhere for a few days in self catering accommodation so had our own with us, so not an issue using my own shampoo and conditioner.
