The Spotlight on Seahorse Beach Bungalows

Chill Beach Vibes Just Minutes from the Music

Modern beach charm meets laid-back comfort at Seahorse Beach Bungalows, a 4-star retreat tucked just a 4-minute walk from Ft Pierce Inlet State Park Beach. With a focus on relaxation, this boutique bungalow-style property offers a peaceful garden setting, private patios, and homey amenities—some rooms even feature full kitchens. Free WiFi and private parking add extra convenience, making it a solid base for concert-goers who want a beachy escape before and after the show.

It's also within easy reach of popular Fort Pierce venues and attractions like the Navy SEAL Museum and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park, with Vero Beach Municipal Airport just 15 miles away. Whether you're here for the music or the mellow coastal lifestyle, Seahorse Beach Bungalows offers the best of both worlds.

Why Concert-goers love it

Steps from the beach and a short drive from Fort Pierce’s live music hotspots, Seahorse Beach Bungalows is a peaceful option for fans who want to wind down after a high-energy show. Its quiet garden setting and small-scale atmosphere mean you won't be kept up all night by noisy neighbors. While check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, the relaxed pace of the property makes it easy to come and go without hassle. Free parking is a plus for those driving in for a show.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a cozy, shared space (some rooms offer kitchens)
- Solo travelers wanting a quiet, secure place to recharge
- Couples making a weekend of it with beach walks and music nights
- Fans needing post-concert recovery in a peaceful setting
- Budget-conscious music lovers who appreciate value over frills

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, several rooms include kitchens with fridges, ovens, and stovetops—perfect for late-night snacks or pre-show meals. Guests can also take advantage of the barbecue facilities and outdoor terrace for a casual dinner under the stars. Local eateries are within a short drive or walk, and many serve breakfast late enough to recover after a night out.

Nightlife Options

This isn’t a party hotel—which is exactly why fans love it. The surrounding area of Fort Pierce offers a mix of low-key beach bars and casual lounges. If you’re looking to catch more live music after your concert, downtown Fort Pierce is just a short drive away with bars that spotlight local talent and regional brews.

What People Say

Guests rave about the peaceful garden atmosphere, the clean and spacious bungalows, and the short walk to the beach. Many mention the property’s unique, personal charm compared to standard chain hotels. The free parking and WiFi are also frequently called out as big pluses. Reviewers love the feeling of a hidden gem close to the action.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that check-out at 10:00 AM feels a bit early after a late night out. Also, since the property doesn’t have a restaurant or bar on-site, you’ll need to plan ahead for meals or rely on the kitchen. If you're expecting luxury resort amenities, this may feel a bit more rustic—but that's part of the charm for many.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to Fort Pierce for a concert and want a quiet, beachside stay with personality, Seahorse Beach Bungalows is a perfect match.

Extremely Disappointed – No Check-In...

Liked: Good location, quiet
Disliked: We never received our check-in information and tried calling and texting several times with no response. When we arrived, there was no staff available to help us. We were left outside with no room, and my two kids were about to cry because we had nowhere to stay for the night. It's now been two days, and we still haven't heard back from the hotel. This was incredibly stressful and disappointing—completely unacceptable experience.

Stay Away!

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: A complete disaster — and especially traumatic because we were traveling with our two kids.We checked into Seahorse Beach Bungalows on a Saturday, expecting a relaxing family weekend. Instead, we walked into a dirty, unprepared room and found the property completely unattended. No staff. No check-in instructions. No help. We called, texted, messaged through Booking.com—nothing. Not a single response, for hours.By 9 PM, after wandering around with our kids all evening and still hearing nothing, we went back to the hotel to see if anything had changed. What we found was shocking: another guest was trying to unlock our room. The hotel had double-booked it. Two families, one room, no answers. The lights were off, the place was silent, and other guests were having similar problems. It was clear the hotel has a long history of this—reviews later confirmed it. We had to pack our bags and leave that same night, with two exhausted and confused children, zero communication, and nowhere to go.It’s now Monday. Still no reply, no refund, no explanation. We’ve heard absolutely nothing from the hotel.I don’t write reviews often, but this was outrageous. If you care at all about reliability, safety, or even basic human decency—do not book this place.

This was the absolute worst...

Liked: The property/rooms have great potential but nothing else?
Disliked: The rooms were the most disgusting I have ever encountered while traveling. We booked a 2 night stay and when we first got there the first room we had was so dirty. There was dirt and dust and sand everywhere! The bed under the main bed (yes that is what they consider a 2 bed room) was horrible and looked like someone had walked all over it with dirty feet. They didn’t bother changing the bedding and there wasn’t a blanket or pillow for the bed. There was chip crumbs on the counter and hair all over the bathroom. Burn holes in the blanket and dirt under the blanket. I tried to call and text the company over 15 times and got NO ONE! I finally found some guy that was doing maintenance and he argued with me that it was clean and that they had pictures. I asked him to come look because we had just got there and we didn’t make the place dirty and he said he couldn’t go in. Finally, once he realized that I wasn’t backing down, he miraculously got ahold of someone and we were given another room. This room was disgusting as well. But I was tired of arguing so I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. My daughter slept in the pullout bed and got bit up all over her legs, probably bed bugs, so she didn’t even stay the second night with us. The bed was as hard as a rock. I still have yet to get ahold of any one from this place but they sure did take the added fees out of my account, like $50 ($25 per day) parking and $50 ($25 a day resort fee) which we never had access to towels or beach chairs (unless you count the 2 rolled up yoga mats in the too). This was the absolute worst experience of my life while traveling and it is really sad because the property (if taken care of and maintained outside) and the room have great potential.

Most guests expressing frustrations throughout...

Liked: The interior renovation and design choices were lovely, bedding comfortable. The public beach access was very close and not busy.
Disliked: Problem getting checked-in, but so did everyone else throughout the week. Watch out for the surprise list of weekly and daily fees for parking, beach access, yoga mat rental, etc. Needs cleanup of broken down hammock, construction materials. Invisible flying, biting, itching bugs and ants make outside unbearable. No return visit.

Not The Worst, But Definitely...

Liked: The proximity to the beach was nice.
Disliked: The shower would turn on randomly during our stay, we found dried laundered blood on the bedsheets, no tissues, no paper towels, no shampoo, the main bedroom light kept flickering and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.

Nice location & interior, but...

Liked: The interior was newly renovated and included a small kitchenette area, very close access to the beach, with beach towels and chairs provided.
Disliked: The communication for checkin was severely delayed and with no one on the property we almost left to find other accommodations, as did 3 other guests. And although there were dishes provided, there was a used sponge and no dish soap, even though we sent a message in the app and were told one would be dropped off, it never was.

Exceptional

Liked: It is just right for my wife and I, and is super close to the beach.
Disliked: I liked everything about the place, we've stayed there before. For any 1st timers be sure to bring bug spray, the short walk on the very well groomed path unfortunately is loaded with mosquitoes especially if you head out for a beautiful sunrise.

Location couldn’t be better for...

Liked: Decor and simplicity
Disliked: There was no microwave! This made shopping and daily food options limited to heating stove top. Could buy no frozen food to heat up . And no way to heat up carry out. It was obvious since there was no outlet to plug one in or place it might have been, that the room never had one. It appeared to be the original set up….if one was offered, no plug outlet nearby for it. When manager was told about it she blamed it on the last guests saying they must have stolen it and didn’t take responsibility. (In the contract I noted microwave is not listed.) I honestly didn’t believe her. ) There was only minimal cookware for stove. Maybe 1 pot and 1 pan making cooking not a good option. Basics such as S&P should be there too. I was not offered any reduction on my bill. The courtyard and surrounding areas looked abandoned. Big broken ground hammock looked like it had been that way forever. Also Construction supplies and parts and pieces of old material piled up near driveway… again looking untouched weather worn. No care for grounds. Also beach chairs and umbrellas promised but no sign of them anywhere. (Laundry Room had one broken one without a pole I took and used to block sun, but other guests had none either. That was a huge disappointment not to have a low beach chair to carry.) I might go back, but my expectations are very low. It would be hard for a family to stay there .
