Disliked: I reached out to the Seagull to provide directly. I don’t think it’s fair to post a public review without giving a place a chance to respond. Unfortunately, they have not responded to my feedback or follows up after I left feedback in person, so I’m posting this here as I feel I gave them ample opportunity to address my concerns.Hello,My wife and I stayed in the Seagull Inn Wednesday through Friday. I wanted to provide feedback about my stay, and specifically, the cleanliness of the room I stayed in (334).First, I want to say that the hotel staff were very kind. The person who checked us in was kind and professional. The person who checked us out was also very kind.The room was the filthiest room I’ve ever stayed in. The floor felt grimy. There was lots of what I presume was pet hair on the ground. We didn’t bring pets. I looked under the bed and it was filthy. There was still a dog treat on the ground under the bed.The dishes in the kitchen were also visibly dirty. We ended up rewashing every dish we used.In the bathroom, there was a water leak behind the sink, which appears to have been there for quite some time as it had stained the floorboard rusted red. I noticed the staff of this.The most horrifying discovery was on check out. My wife pulled the sheet out that had been tucked at the foot of our bed the whole trip. She found literal poop on the bedding. Not sure if it’s human or animal poop, but we presume a pet based on the fur.I’ve included some pictures from our stay.

Liked: Staff was amazing. View and beds were awesome. Comfy beds and hot water are a plus as well
Disliked: Floors still had sand and dirt. Couldn’t use the tub as the drain/ plug feature wasn’t working. Pats of the tub were pulling up and areas had stains.

Location, location, location, and friendly...

Liked: Great location! Staff is always very nice and the lady who works on the weekend Phillis, not sure how to spell it, is super friendly & helpful. We stay here several times a year. It feels like our home away from home.
Disliked: It is an older properly but they have been fixing stuff up slowly over the years that we’ve been going there. Hot water can run out on busy weekends.

Liked: There was no breakfast, the view was amazing!
Disliked: The door didn’t shut unless you pushed really hard. The barn style door on the bathroom looked nice but not practical for privacy. The hardwood floors were practical for the beach but sand was tracked in and had to get a broom from the office to clean it up. There was no place to smoke except in the parking lot out in elements, a covered spot or even out on the deck to smoke would have been nice.
