Overall a great hotel, with...

Liked: Fantastic location, clean modern room with amazing view, beautiful food, nice quality and well cooked, bar reasonably priced and the young man behind the bar chatty and attentive.
Disliked: Very warm room, bed very soft with boiling hot mattress topper resulting in no sleep and checking out a day early, woman behind the bar grumpy and standoffish, breakfast expensive.

Liked: Know the hotel well,and it has improved considerably compared with years ago.The standard of food and friendly staff make this hotel a good place to stay .
Disliked: It needs some attention around window frames .A good cleaning wanted.

Basic room, old style hotel,...

Liked: Close proximity to beach, pet friendly, good breakfast, very friendly and hardworking staff.
Disliked: Had not read booking notes requesting dog friendly room, so room was reallocated on arrival. New room did not seem to have been fully prepared -- banana peel in bin, used cup and spoon on dresser, soap unwrapped and towel on side of bath all suggested a previous inhabitant although beds seemed clean and made up. But the room was spacious, there were additional towels and cups, and we were only staying one night, so we just went with it.
