Liked: Checking out
Disliked: Paid for one night, stayed for none. Literally checked in, was told there was no onsite parking and unlocked the door to see a motel room with a rundown, approximately 5ft by 5ft, bathroom. Then I checked out and got a room at a more accommodating hotel a few blocks down with parking onsite. I do NOT recommend staying here. Do NOT stay here with children! It is absolutely unsafe to walk from the nearest public parking structure, and the motel does not accommodate. I'm providing a map in case you'd like to see where public parking is (bear in mind the parking structures have unhoused people residing in them, some doing VERY strange things. I saw a strange man camped up and mimicking what appeared to be fatal martial arts moves like neck-snapping, choking, etc in a dark corner of one of the parking structures).The rooms had tiny space heaters on the floor and were very low-budget for the price that was charged. The bathroom looked NOTHING like the pictures. It was tiny and gross, with the air cooler positioned right next to ones head while they squat on a mini toilet to do their business. It looks like those old run-down motels you see in movies or like those ones that rent by the hour (not Pretty Woman-like joints either).Absolutely not safe; per the motel desk man, cars parked on the street in the area were frequently broken in. Also, parking onsite is limited to 12 parking spots that, even thoigh some were seemingly free, they were "taken". I'd highly recommend bypassing this musty rundown (cough) "hotel" and staying at a real hotel; which there are plenty of them nearby that have actual onsite parking.At this point, Booking should refund my money as their posting had false information that led me to book, what I know now is simply, a rundown water damaged motel, then have to go and scramble for an actual hotel with true onsite parking.

Liked: Amazing location with parking included. Host was fantastic and very welcoming. Apartment was well equipped and comfortable.

Disliked: Smell. Balcony was not clean once we arrived. But they sorted it once I let them know. Hotel’s Laundry right outside where we stayed. Noisy.

Superb

Liked: It was right on the water! Perfect location for the trip we planned. Great staff and comfortable cute little room. Would definitely be back.
Disliked: The only thing I didn't like is that there was no breakfast in the morning like some other hotels have. They did have a little area in the office that you could get coffee and some other items if you wanted.

With lots Santa Monica charm,...

Liked: An eclectic place - unique, coastal vibe and right on the beach for a great price.
Disliked: The shower. It was true to the dated-style of the hotel but the facets didn’t seem to work properly.

Exceptional

Perfect for a beach vacation!

Liked: Very close walk to the pier and beach.
Disliked: No parking. We had to pay for parking in their lot, and it was all sold out. We had to park around the block in a parking garage, but it was 15.50 for the whole weekend so not bad.
