Refund for cancelation!

Liked: Everything went well with the exception that I canceled in advance the last night, I only stayed Friday night and Saturday night, even though I made the change online I didn't get refunded.The motel cannot refund since I paid through booking.com , they informed me that booking.com was supposed to make the refund.What happened????
Disliked: I didn't get the refund for the last night that I had canceled in advance.
