Perfect in every way

Liked: It was really quaint and full of character beautiful setting and so peaceful. The owner was so welcoming nothing was too much trouble and the food was so good. The dog was lovely too

Exceptional

Liked: Easy to get to from the M4, only 5 minutes but still away from it all. Small and quirky hotel with very friendly owner.Comfy large bed and spacious room and bathroom.Fantastic breakfast.

Great stay

Excellent value for money and...

Liked: Excellent food, both at breakfast and dinner, which exceeded our expectations. A very welcoming host. Lovely views and a convenient location for our journey, just off the main roads. Very quiet. Excellent wi-fi, a very good shower. Tea/coffee tray and an extra blanket were provided. Atmospheric all round as the hotel is in an old school house. Excellent value for money.
Disliked: Both rooms were very cold on arrival and it took a while to warm them up with additional heaters provided. We do, however, appreciate, that a well-functioning central heating system in such an old and large building is going to be problematic.As lovely and quiet as Fred, the owners' dog, was, I think a warning about a dog on the premises should be issued, considering a lot of information was sent in advance about various dos and don'ts, e.g. a fine for having your own food or drink in the rooms.
