Expensive and not worth it...

Liked: The staff and food.
Disliked: Our room was awful - dangerous getting in and out of shower, no privacy, light came on in dark without movement, etc.

Surprised a 4 star hotel...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Lack of air con. Size of room. Some staff were quite abrupt

Splendid hotel in a beautiful...

Liked: The hotel is as splendid as we remembered from ten years ago. The view from the balcony is wonderful. Our room was large and very comfortable- I asked for twin beds and got these. It was difficult to climb 2 1/2 flights of stairs every time we went up to our room but the staff took our suitcases up and down for us which was very helpful .
Disliked: I didn't like the obligatory 3-course meal at dinner, and because of that the courses were so small it felt like a joke. I know about nouvelle cuisine but just decorating the food at dinner doesn't make it satisfying. If we hadn't had a basket of bread to go with dinner we would have left hungry - and paid a lot of money mainly for the excellent cooking and decorative food but not for a satisfying amount to eat.

Beautiful location

Liked: On a hill overlooking Wurzburg . Stayed in the castle, which was delightful. Staff very helpful .
Disliked: No elevator in the old building . Very limited dinner menu my 2nd night. Offering only multi- course meal, that was not impressive.

Disliked: I almost broke my toe on an unmarked step in the shower. The temperature of the water in the shower changes spontaneously no matter how it is set.
