Liked: Schlosshotel is a large, modern-ish international-style hotel that is used by people on business and for meetings, conferences, etc. That said, we found the 'bierkeller' type surroundings of the bar/restaurant very satisfactory for us as tourists and they have made the outdoor area at the back of the hotel (formerly a car park) into a pleasant seating area for pre-dinner drinks. We booked this hotel because Herborn is fairly close to the German national motor museum (the Loh Collection) at Dietzholztal.
Disliked: Nothing, really. We normally go for smaller, family-run hotels in Germany, but the Schlosshotel fitted the bill for a one-night stopover and Herborn is a pleasant enough place.

Great value hotel

Liked: my second time here. The room this time was even better than last time. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very welcoming in reception and breakfast room. On the night we arrived the hotel bar/restaurant was closed on national holiday but we found a very pleasant place to eat in the Cornmarket. This hotel is so lovely to visit , everything is to the best standard and such excellent value!
Disliked: Hotel parking is limited. There is public parking at the rear of the hotel. Charges apply between 09.00 and 18.00
