Liked: Good variety offered for breakfast very dog friendly in all rooms and lawns for them to exercise

Exceptional

Liked: The suite was fabulous, very spacious and nicely decorated. Tea and coffee facilities in the room plus bottled water. The meal we had in the restaurant was very good as was the breakfast where there was alot of choice. The hotel has a lovely ambience, staff are very friendly and attentive. Lots of outdoor seating areas so we could enjoy the sun . And most importantly our dog was treated like a king.!! A dog bed, bowls, treats, poo bags and towels delivered to the room for him. This is the hotel to be if you are visiting Norfolk with your four legged friend, we can't wait to return.

Liked: The grounds were beautiful with plenty of areas to sit. The staff were very helpful
Disliked: We had the smallest room despite having booked in April, which we found out later wasn’t in operation. Taken over only 5 weeks before our visit. Staff levels were low The room had not been given much thought, enormous bed in small room, no light at dressing table to use the mirrors, bathroom was very smart but lacking in areas to place your toiletries, or hooks. Lovely shower but bath extremely slippy on first use, needed to use mat. Screen not long enough to stop water onto floor. Felt unsafe trying to get out with nothing to hold on to.

Liked: Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, especially Ellie who could not do enough for us, despite only started 2 days before we arrived. The breakfast was great, excellent selection of continental and full English. Extremely dog friendly, they supplied the baskets, bowls, treats and poo bags. Nothing was too much effort. We even got new water bottles every day.
Disliked: There was nothing we did not like. I did find the charge for two small dogs expensive, but the dogs were welcome in all the areas of the hotel and everything was provided for them.

Very nice place to stay...

Liked: Nice and comfy. Great outside garden and field. Restaurant food was very good.
Disliked: Not easy to walk into North Walsham, which is along main road in parts. Better with a car. We walked from station.

Three quarter bed not small...

Liked: Breakfast was good, very clean..Staff friendly lovely building and atea and grounds the bed was comfortable but not big enough for 2
Disliked: The room was advertised as SMALL DOUBLE ROOM, it should have been SMALL DOUBLE BED & SMALL DOUBLE Room,..The bed is not fit for a couple, far too small..we did not sleep well, plus with all the hot weather, asked for a summer quilt, they did not have any, so we asked for a sheet, which they did supply..also the room No 6 is over the kitchen and near carpark so you can hear people leaving after work and arriving..so my view is don't have room No 6 as a double only for a single person., as we could have been very large people and could have been without accommodation..I measured the bed and it was 4ft 1in..so I would class that as three quarter.. so get the advertisement changed as never heard of small double!!!!

Liked: dinner was lovely, the pork with special carrots cooked in dashi, thyme and carrot juice were unspeakably nice.
Disliked: duvets were way too heavy for this heat and no alternative sheet in the bedroom, but no big deal.
