Decent place to stay but...

Liked: Nice, large hotel, great location with a nice restaurant and free parking for guests. Very good location. Spacious and quiet rooms. Buffet & restaurant are nice and prices are affordable.
Disliked: Only a few rooms have air conditioning. This shouldn't normally be a problem, but in July 2025, it was very hot in Norway. However, after consulting the reception, we were able to change our room. Both rooms were OK, but not amazing; rather dated, but OK. However, I can't recommend the in-house spa. The spa area (pool/whirlpool, etc.) wasn't particularly clean, and the massages were rather subpar. However, if that's not necessary, I can recommend the hotel.

Pleasant

Liked: Location, walking distance to restaurants and park nearby.
Disliked: The temperature in the some of the rooms can heat up over 30C in July. So you have to keep your door open and let the cool air flow in from corridor.

Very terrible stay at this...

Liked: location was really good.
Disliked: No AC in the room even though I have selected a room with AC and staff told me that AC was repaired and will start working but never worked!!!I have upgraded to a suite and the same issue and staff didn’t even help with a fan.The corridors were very dirty as well as elevators with urine smell and food and dust everywhere.No phone in the room to communicate with reception so every time we need something we have to go all the way down and be in line for a question or help making it impossible for emergency calls!!!We were very disappointed and frustrated with this hotel and Booking as we tried to call booking for help and they were not responding!!

Liked: The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: There was no ac bc of a circut break. Such a long walk and wierd path to get to our room. The dinner was not good and a lot of flies were flying onto the food. A lot of hot food section was cold. There was nothing in the mini fridge.

Liked: Good breakfast buffet but appeared short staffed took a long time to clean tables. Have three bicycles to rent
Disliked: Staff unfriendly. Only hotel in Norway that asked to fill out a form with email phone number etc. extra charge for using spa.

Fantastic breakfast and friendly staff

Liked: Friendly and welcoming staff. I had a large spacious room. I had to wake up early and leave but there was this Amazing breakfast that kept me brimmed with energy for many hours later.
Disliked: Really small fridge in the room, and also not really cold either.

Upsetting

Liked: Shower water pressure, parking included
Disliked: Air conditioning is ONLY in higher priced rooms, we had to pay for an upgrade because it was 32° in our original room. We got separate beds although we required double, rip-off prices for dinner for average quality(at best), the hotel is poorly maintained. Avoid this place if you need good value for your money
