Very enjoyable stay in a...

Liked: This is a simply presented hotel in a great location in the old town. Whilst it looked a bit bland from the outside it had character and the room was comfortable and well equipped. We had a standard room and the bathroom was quite small, but manageable with a good shower. The hotel put on a very well presented breakfast buffet. Whilst there is no bar or restaurant it is right in the middle of an area with plenty of options. The reception staff were cheerful, helpful and efficient. One nice feature of the hotel is a roof terrace - a good place to take a coffee and enjoy the Swedish sun. It was very well located for getting around Stockholm, either on foot or via the nearby metro station and the excellent public transport system.
Disliked: Nothing really. The hotel was as it presented itself.

Recommend Scandic Gamla Stan as...

Liked: Comfortable room. Efficient bathroom. Quiet location. Fabulous breakfast. Easy walk to all of Gamla Stan sites and ferry to Vasa Museum.

Overall lovely hotel in fantastic...

Liked: Staff friendly and helpful. Delicious and good choice of breakfast. Hotel was clean.
Disliked: Booked economy room which was small but get what you pay for at Stockholm prices. Room could have had coffee making facilities and bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked.
