Very good
Liked: Nice staff, very nice room.
Disliked: Very poor vegan options at breakfast. One or two warm dishes with a source of protein wouldn't hurt, plus a vegan dessert.

Liked: Excellent location
Disliked: It was all fine except for the fact that we had to pay for the whole stay at check-in and they managed to withdraw the full sum three times! Over €3000 instead of 1000! We immediately brought this up and the receptionist couldn’t have been nicer but nothing happened. For the full four days no one seemed to care that we had paid way too much. They kept giving excuses why we had to wait for a refund. We never managed to talk to anyone in charge of payments. When we left we had still not received any refund. Still waiting for the second over payment to come through. Very odd indeed.

Could be better
Liked: In general the hotel is good and we enjoyed the stay – large rooms, clean, great breakfast. I appreciate the hair conditioner in the separate bottle. Great location.
Disliked: I chose Scandic because I used to work with this hotel chain in the past. Unfortunately, time has not been kind to it – the service standards have noticeably declined. Room cleaning is now available only on request, and you have to inform reception the day before. In our case, the room was cleaned only after I personally went down to reception three times. There were no basic amenities in the bathroom, and everything felt too minimal and impersonal.But the most upsetting experience was at the bar, where the bartender, Hamad, brought me to tears in front of my children. We had three complimentary cocktails from reception, but he was extremely unfriendly and arrogant, saying to me: "You want everything for free here!" – a shocking attitude both towards a guest and towards a woman.It’s disappointing to see Scandic keeping such people on the front line of guest interaction. A real shame for a brand I used to trust.
