Good

Liked: Really good location, easily accessible to main areas/cathedral etc. Staff were very friendly.
Disliked: Extremely overpriced for the quality of hotel and amenities, charging 5star prices for 3 star rooms. 1st room had broken aircon and had to be requested to be moved, the only available other room had carpark view and the aircon was working but temperamental. The room decor/lifts etc were quite outdated although the lobby area is nice. Nonetheless, when paying over £300 per night, this is not the quality one would expect.

Design hotel in the heartof...

Liked: Very trendy hotel just a few minutes walk away from the Dome of Cologne. A bit on the pricier side but for a nice fun weekend in the city it is well worth it.

Underwhelming due to the skybar...

Liked: The hotel itself is very nice and the staff were great. Room was very nice and well designed.
Disliked: However, the skybar was closed, so no sunset cocktails. I would have booked elsewhere if I had known this. The food options were basically non existent , 4 appetisers including 1 soup and 1 salad, then 4 flammkuchen options....

Room smells like a toilet

Liked: The decore is beautiful and super luxurious.
Disliked: The room smells like a toilet. For 450 Euro a night + 80 Euro romantic package, I find cheap champagne and plastic flowers unacceptable. I was also completely disappointed that breakfast is an additional 60 Euro, parking an additional 30 Euro and the spa is an additional 60Euro. No wonder you have to give 150 Euro deposit at checkin regardless if you paid in full in advance.
