Everything exceeded the expectations and...

Liked: The hotel was well thought of in terms of catering for everyones needs. All facilities were of a high standard and the kids loved the pool! We will definitely be returning!

Superb

Liked: We stayed as a family with two children and our dog. The hotel was beautifully decorated and facilities were excellent. Food was also very good along with the location which was quiet and peaceful but not far form the Porth Bay beach. View over the cliffs were also spectacular.
Disliked: The air con in our room did not seem to work very well and you could not open any windows.

Family friendly, lovely decor, all...

Liked: Lovely decor, clean and bright. Recently refurbished to a high standard. Great sea views from our room. Very dog friendly. Nice pool and great gym.
Disliked: Everything was really good generally but our kids are a bit older and said that their beds were quite hard (room 220) and so they didn’t sleep well. The double bed was absolutely fine.

Liked: Everything, food selection at brunch, cleanliness, staff, interior, swimming pool, surroundings
Disliked: Prices for rooms differ greatly depending date, availability, and demand so unfortunately it's out of our budget sometimes

Great family staycation

Liked: Very family and dog friendly - nothing more needs saying. Cafe food is so delicious. Great place to stay

Liked: Location to the cliff walk to Watergate Bay and access to facilities like the coffee shop, swimming and gym.
Disliked: Room cleaning was extra. The co-working space isn't built yet and working in the coffee shop isn't a good option.

Disliked: The staff were very unpleasant we spent a lot of money to stay just for the weekend and I felt the staff were very unwelcoming towards myself and family as we were a younger family staying with them.

Superb

Liked: Great design, lots of space in room and a separate bedroom for little one - so rare but so welcome when on holiday with children! The swimming pool was excellent and spotlessly clean.Wonderful location, a short walk along the coast path to the beautiful Watergate Bay.Cafe and restaurant both served great food and drinks.The children’s activities in the garden were a real hit with our 4 year old.
Disliked: The attached restaurant felt understaffed during our stay - service was still warm and friendly but food was quite slow.The set up was a bit more AirBnB while the price was very much in the hotel range - for that price I would have liked a turndown service, restocking on toilet paper, fresh towels etc during our stay. The lack of staffed reception area (although you could always get hold of someone if needed) meant it was a very hands off experience, which some may like, but I always enjoy a smile and a welcome as I go out or return of a day - a very small thing though, all in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.
