A lot of good stuff...

Liked: Room 106 PROS: quiet clientele and area, 15 miles to High Island for birding, about 10% cheaper than cheapest chain motels to the north nearer I-10, neat and clean, BIG frig + freezer, infrastructure like AC, microwave, TV, frig, in good shape.
Disliked: Room 106 CONS: Bed way too hard had to use air mattress I brought. No chair?? no table?? SO CAN'T SIT EXCEPT ON BED? Chair + Tables shown online. One roll of toilet paper and nowhere to put it. Bathroom cramped. Shower suffered from low flow rate. Are there any staff at this location? Not sure how to communicate need for housekeeping - believe this may be one of those motels where you communicate everything online or walk into office and talk to somebody on a screen - haven't tried that yet.

Liked: The price and location were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Keyless entry was nice too.
Disliked: They only have overhead lighting. (I brought my own lamp). No news, sports or premium channels on cable TV. No TP dispenser was a little odd. Shower (tub) floor was pretty slick. These are some trade-offs for the value, I guess.

Will not return.

Liked: Location was convenient.
Disliked: French fry laying on bed when I entered, empty plastic cookie tray with crumbs left in one drawer, towels really cheap, only 1 facecloth for 2 people, no hair dryer.
