Beds are very small

Liked: Location to the airport
Disliked: We booked a king bed but got a small doubleWe did report it to reception staff but were told that's the size of all the king bedsI am awaiting a reply from booking.com regarding my complaint

Lovely hotel with great facilities.

Liked: We were visting Brighton for the weekend to attend a football match and used this as a base being only 30 mins away. I'd asked for a shower instead of a bath for my husband as he is using crutches and we were swapped to an accessible room. This was really helpful and meant he could safely wash. The rooms were large and had everything you could want in them, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities and plenty of towels etc. Breakfast was lovely, warm and regularly topped up and the staff at breakfast were very helpful and polite. The gentleman who checked us in was great, very polite, smart and welcoming. There was plenty of parking and there was a pool but we didn't have time to use it.
Disliked: I had booked for a room with a high floor, but ended up on floor 2 with a view of a brick wall which was disappointing as we spent a fair bit of time in the room, but understand this may have been because I asked for a shower. We had an evening meal one night in the hotel and a service charge of over £8.00 was added to the bill with no pre-warning making it even more expensive - I've never had this in a hotel where you are already a paying guest before. The Sunday night after being out all day and tired we rang for room service at 7.30pm and again at 8.45pm to be told both times that they were far too busy downstairs to bring it up so we couldn't have it, this was very disappointing and one of the reasons we booked this hotel as my husband was not feeling well enough to go back downstairs that evening. There were two young men on reception on bank holiday Monday and neither wore ties, which I thought didn't look great for a hotel like this when all other staff were so smart.

Car park extra, comfy bed,...

Liked: Staff were great and went beyond to help us with a problem with our car while we were there.
Disliked: The car park was extra and it wasn’t clear on the website how much that would be. Just state the price upfront please or include a night with a hotel stay. Also needs better signage to help customers get out of the car park. The obvious exit wasn’t working and we were told to go around the back but there was no signage indicating that.The restaurant food was expensive for what you get. The choice wasn’t great. Nothing special but there was a lack of real healthy choices.
