Sandman Signature Calgary Downtown Hotel

First off I booked it through ConcertHotels and it said $69 plus taxes. Came out to $77.92. I showed my girlfriend and booked it. The price was right there on the screen while I put in the credit card info. When we arrived they told me it was 100 bucks. Then parking was 25 bucks. Although they never told me that until morning. It was dirty. Disgusting towels and garbage on the floor. I had to check the mattress for bed bugs. I have pictures but most likely can't put them up. Oh and it was under construction and had no hot water until 5 pm. Also pool and hot tub were unavailable. So nothing worked, it was gross and I was overcharged. I will be staying at the Delta from now on - same price and they treat you great. It's clean and parking is cheaper.

Liked: The only good thing that was good is that we were close to venue.
Disliked: Rip off; disgusting, cheap hotel.

Very clean; good staff; I recommend and it will be my spot each time I have to be in Calgary!

Pleasant

Liked: The room was cleaner and the shower water flow was better than my last visit.
Disliked: I don't like that the parking cost was not waived or not included for the money I paid for the room. The carpets in the rooms are outdated. It should be changed to hardwood. The customer service staffs have changed and they were not personable.

Great location!

Liked: Love the location and its proximity to the train station (across the street) that took us all over downtown, and restaurants.
Disliked: The room that we stayed in is small with a king bed and our view was the back alley.

Ok, but don’t expect too...

Liked: It was ok, I booked in Calgary because it was cheaper than in Banff or Canmore. It is easy to get to the hotel from the airport, it’s within the free zone.
Disliked: I spent 4 nights at the hotel and they didn’t clean the room once. I specifically put out the sign once but they only filled up the shampoo and conditioner.Having a small soap as body wash is inconvenient.Downtown and the area is full of sketchy people, as a solo traveler female it was scary sometimes to get back to the hotel.

Liked: Location, view, supportive staff.
Disliked: Noisy due to being next to train railway. The wall is to thin and next room guests were loud even at midnight.

Liked: The room was amazing a bery comfy bed eith a clean room and the pool, was nice too! Staff was also super friendly
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Not too bad, though, overall. Clean and AC worked.
Disliked: 1. The beds could use an update. 2. The hot water takes forever to arrive.3. Ice machine on floor 20 needs some work.
