Sandman Hotel & Suites Calgary West

We were treated very well. We had arrived early to check in and change for a wedding in the Wedding Pavilion. Earliest check in was established and Denny's was pointed out for a lunch. The room was excellent; all timelines were met for the wedding. We were only 4 minutes away from our destination. Doris and Ed.

Disliked: Part of the room was really hot and hard for the kids to sleep, pool was closed for renovations.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Location was good. It was clean.
Disliked: There was zero notification from booking.com about the pool being closed for renos, which was a big disappointment as we were travelling with kids. The sofa bed was also not usable - I've never felt anything so uncomfortable. It was like laying on a bag of springs.

Disliked: What breakfast? I did not know there was a breakfast option. The pool facilities were unavailable so I was very disappointed that there was no little freebie or discount. I chose to hotel because I wanted to relax that evening in a hot tub so that was very dissapointing

Liked: Convenient and had a pool! But, the pool was closed but the rate stayed the same!☹️ staff was lovely though

Liked: One staff was Ok, however your site was told about renovations and never passed that info on when I was booking so the pool, hot tub and fitness room was not available. and site said breakfast was included however because we booked on your site was told it was not costing $50 dollars a day, thus NOT making booking through your site a better deal!
Disliked: Room up grade to loft suite was more of a DOWN grade from the room booked because the bathroom was on the main floor.

Liked: Clean. Closed to the main road and attractions. Easy to leave the city to Banff.
Disliked: The pool was closed.
