It was good enough

Very displeased with the double...
Disliked: Checked into the king suite I booked only to find someone else was staying in the room upon entry. Seemed hotel was double booked so my room was down graded and was only offered a $30 restaurant voucher in return. Was unable to use voucher as restaurant was too busy to accommodate our party of 12 so basically ended up with nothing in return for a down graded room and having walked into a non vacant room.

Nice night at sandman hôtel
Liked: Pool. Hut tub. Very comfy bed. Extra pillow and blankets. Lots of towel at the pool, dont have to walk half naked to the office to ask for towels. Staff are super nice. Cleaning lady do an amazing jog
Disliked: The door was not closin properly. The lock was in the way. The shower head was spilling water out of the shower even with curtains fully close.

Booking.com DIDNT MENTION THE CONSTRUCTION...
Liked: The staff were friendly.
Disliked: Booking.com didn't tell me the ENTIRE HOTEL was under construction so I could make a informed decision. I was put on a floor where the flooring and carpet was being removed with hammers at 8am and the hallway was all boarded up with construction tools EVERYWHERE. The staff also had a linen room beside my door so I could here all the housekeepers all day. I came for work and was working an Expo that ran all weekend until 1am so being woken up for construction was ridiculous. The entire hotel was booked so I couldn't be moved and Booking.com has not responded to me at all. I had to pay up front to booking.com for a room that was NOT WORTH EVEN HALF WHAT I PAID. I WILL NEVER USE THIS BOOKING SERVICE AGAIN THEY ARE JUST TAKING YOUR MONEY WITHOUT GIVING YOU THE INFO YOU DESERVE TO KNOW. I WOULD HAVE PAID MORE FOR A GOOD STAY AND ACTUAL SLEEP HAD I KNOWN. The manager Julie mentioned that Booking.com were aware of the construction so why didn't I get notified? Aside from construction, another thing that was very noisy was a pop machine directly beside my door that they send a tech to service when I was checking in and couldn't fix it so it made loud gurgling noise THE ENTIRE STAY that sounded like a tumble dryer with 20 pairs of shoes inside. How could this room reasonably be rented to a customer!!!!
