A cozy very convenient hotel...
Liked: A quick check in due to getting off loaded from a flight. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Front line staff very good. We used in house washing machine and it was very useful. Gratis tea at the lobby is good.Most of all we enjoyed dinner at the outside cozy steak house. We thank the hotel for the free airport shuttle. Keep up the good work.
Disliked: Nothing about the hotel but... if you are taking a flight out of calgary to USA, please go to airport at least 3 hrs early. The boarder protection line is crazy there.

Quiet, very comfortable suite, perfect...
Liked: I booked the room for a business meeting, the setup of separate bedroom and living room worked very well for that purpose. It was very clean and comfortable.
Disliked: I booked online through booking.com to see the room as I needed specific setup for my meeting. When I checked in, they didn't put me in dog friendly, and when I asked, they said we will have to upgrade you. The room was what I had booked in the picture so I didn't feel I had been upgraded. So it diminished the value I had put on the room, only a perception, but left me wondering what i would have gotten for a room if I hadn't asked about it.

Liked: Closed to airport.
Disliked: We stayed at Sandman Hotel after a long 13-hour drive, hoping for a comfortable and restful night. Unfortunately, the first room we were assigned had some issues.The first room had a door lock that wouldn’t latch properly, so the door couldn’t be securely closed. we could have left our belongings in an unsecured room just when we are about to go out for dinner. We informed the front desk, and they moved us right accross to another room. The second room had a sink that wasn’t draining properly, the shower curtain had visible hair strands and the bathtub was filthy, noticed near the drain of what appeared to be spit left behind. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable..We brought these concerns up again, and the front desk transferred us to a third room, which was finally clean and functional. Thank you for the nice gesture. While we’re thankful for the staff’s efforts to address the issues, it was disappointing to encounter so many problems before settling in. We hope the hotel improves its room checks and cleanliness standards going forward.
