Sandcastle Resort

I really enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. The staff was great; the food was good and the hotel itself was very clean and lived up to my expectations!

Liked: Restaurant; beach access, The views.
Disliked: The elevators shook a bit going up, but wasn't really a big deal. The parking garage tops out at 6'2" - had to park across the street and walk, which was fine.

The room was excellent and extremely clean. There were plenty of fresh clean towels for everyone and the staff was super nice. The view from the balcony was beautiful and it was all well worth the price of the room. The only problem we had was that we were unable to eat breakfast there because the breakfast line was extremely long due to the hotel being filled with cheerleaders there for nationals which also made the pool not an option because of crowding.

Disliked: It needs more maintenance in the hall facility

Disappointing

Liked: The location. Beds
Disliked: The room was ok . The clock would not work . The fridge would go cold and warm it only had one elevator working, no coffee on two days in a row in the lobby ! The breakfast is nothing special all microwave food The location was great except for the planes flying directly over all day long . Enjoyed Virginia Beach very much probably won't be book here again but will be back to the beach. Have a blessed day

Liked: The location and view is what you’re paying for. The location is perfect
Disliked: The balcony is literally big enough for 2 people (there was 4 of us) and the air conditioner blew hot air onto one of us the whole time …I come for the balcony and was disappointed

Wasted tons of money for...

Liked: Location is excellent with immediate access to the beach
Disliked: The rooms shown in booking.com are different to the rooms allocated to us. The elevators are stinky, the amenities in the bedroom especially the air conditioner is worst - it is very old and made lot of noise all day and night. Kids werent able to sleep properly

We really enjoyed our stay...

Liked: Great location because we were right on the beach and across the street from the boardwalk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was free. Breakfast was decent. Coffee was always available!
Disliked: It could use some updating. Paint on balcony doors and a few other areas.

Nice Hotel

Liked: Location is good. Ocean view is even better.
Disliked: Room walls and ceiling looks old and worn out.
