Charming, Clean, and Well-Located

Liked: A very nice hotel with character, perfectly located and quiet. I really loved the interior – it definitely has charm and value. The hotel was very clean, and I’m happy I spent two nights there.
Disliked: The price felt a bit high for a room with a shared bathroom and toilet, but considering that prices in San Francisco are generally high, it’s understandable.

Would be 10 if not...

Liked: Very clean and love the old-1900s aesthetic. Definitely well kept and well staffed. Location was great and overall the stay was very comfortable.
Disliked: I got locked out of my room because the battery died on the card scanner on the door. Obviously not the staff’s fault, but they weren’t able to unlock the door manually either. We had to wake up my friend to get back in. Really seems like a huge safety hazard to not have an easy way of unlocking a door when needed.

Liked: if you like old school its for you! if you like old charm do it! if you hate sharing sinks go to a marriot. i love the charm and everyting about san remo

Very good

Liked: The location is perfect, a super easy walk down to Pier 39 and shops etc. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bathroom facilities were all kept clean and there were plenty if some were being used.The room sizes are slightly on the smaller size but worked absolutely fine for me being a solo traveler, could see this being a bit of a struggle if you had multiple people and suitcases
Disliked: My only complaint is I wish the blind to the hallway was darker, due to the light always being on it was often bright during the night.

Loved our stay and will...

Liked: There were more than enough shared bathrooms to use. I never had to wait. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early. The decor was very cool and was like a museum.
