Unpleasant stay
Liked: We liked the recycled bottles.
Disliked: The room not so spacey for a family. The WiFi was very poor. The digital credit/ or debit was not accepted. The checkout was not possible to be done the previous evening. The restaurant service was very poor and the food was poor in quantity and quality. We arrived very tired after 19 hour of flight and check in was very complicated and difficult.

Liked: Hotel rooms were fine and price was good.
Disliked: The prices were very high in the bar and breakfast buffet was $35 each. $20 for a 5 year old.. no baggage kept at hotel after checkout. Referred to another hotel which was $4 for each piece of luggage plus tax. I would not book this hotel again

Price gouged in San Francisco
Liked: Proximity to fisherman whatf
Disliked: 75/day dollar parking. 30/day mandatory destination fee. Loud air conditioner kept waking us up.

Liked: Great location - room was comfortable - clean
Disliked: Pillows on the bed were completely flat - very uncomfortable Ordered a single egg and sausage for breakfast and was given an “American Breakfast “ at $33 which I didn’t want or eat all of.

Wouldn't stay here again, would...
Liked: Primary benefit was Location; was very good, close to Fisherman's Wharf.
Disliked: Staff was surly, elderly and impatient with little or no empathy for Guests. At one point we were told, 'that's not my problem!' Never had a hotel brand show that attitude before (ever! in 40 years of travelling the world)Reception staff was matter-of-fact, although Rachel was almost apologetic to the excess charges being forced onto Guests.The Daily Destination Charge was a complete scam! Parking charge of USD 75 was also an irritant - so we did the drill of a Daily Car Rental!Laundry machine for self-laundry was a joke! Free detergent from the Reception and Coins for Cash ridiculed the image of it being a Marriott hotel...But the cake was taken by the absence of a Bell Boy or help of any kind with our 7 pieces of luggage. I personally helped an elderly couple (in their late 70's) load and push their large Hotel trolley to the elevator. Confirmed to me the gap between the marketing campaigns vs the dismal reality of Marriott - now a money grabbing, commercial enterprise!
