Great pool and views
Liked: Pool & View
Disliked: Additional taxes and fees, including parking, is ridiculous especially when we live in San Diego and already pay our fair share.

Disliked: The parking was far we were in the north tower but had to park in south tower where there was not enough parking. So why did I pay for daily parking

This hotel refuses to do...
Liked: The location was great. The view from our room was fantastic, straight to the San Diego bay from the 23th floor! The hotel exterior and interior design is really tasteful.
Disliked: Our room was never cleaned (we stayed in room #2325 on 9/4-9/8). On the 3rd day of our stay, I requested the hotel at the reception desk to arrange the housekeeping room service, to which the clerk answered they don't do regular cleanings "due to the pandemic" except on Mondays, but rest assured, they do clean the rooms "between guests". She agreed to move the Monday's cleaning to this Sunday. On Sunday at 4pm nothing was done. I came down to the reception and asked again (there was another clerk at the desk). The clerk asked me to wait and went somewhere. I waited ~15 minutes, then she returned and promised the room will be cleaned up immediately. When we returned late night on Sunday, nothing was done at all. On Monday, we left for a long trip, but when we returned in the evening... nothing was done at all, again. We eventually ended up with all-wet towels, overfilled trash bins, without shampoo, coffee and tea. The hotel just doesn't want to do what it is paid for. The fitness center was closed (that's not mentioned on Booking.com, by the way). Instead of the prepaid breakfast, we received a few vouchers to the local pastry shop, where was a long line every morning. Because we had two little kids, we couldn't wait that long, so the prepaid "breakfast" was wasted. On the way from self-parking, the gate wasn't working with room key cards, so I (and seemingly other people as well) had to press a button every time and ask to open the gate. The pool was open, and it was really packed. I attached some photos - people were almost touching their shoulders. No masks, no "social distance". That was especially amusing because "the pandemic" was the excuse to not do the prepaid breakfast and the room cleaning service.
