Liked: The property was clean and close to Goderich.
Disliked: The property was misrepresented as a ‘boutique hotel’. It’s an average motel. The decor, the amenities are not boutique or niche level nor are the amenities represented in the listing or website current or accurate. Example: ‘River view’ is nonexistent as the brush is completely grown in and the river is not visible and as well quite a distance away. The lounge areas and outdoor terrace depicted in the gallery and listing are only accessible via the upstairs separate suite booking and not accessible to regular guests in regular rooms.

Liked: Great location. Nice private outdoor sitting area with trees. The property itself is immaculate inside and out. Lovely dining room for breakfast and the continental breakfast was very good.

Perfect get away setting in...

Liked: Samuels Boutique Hotel was lovely. Beautiful setting overlooking the Maitland River and with relaxing individual patios outside of rooms facing the River. Delicious breakfast with a very large assortment of foods. Very easy to find right on the edge of town with a wonderful staff. Highly recommend!

Disappointing for the price. Described...

Disliked: Breakfast was described as exceptional. Nothing more than some fruit, cakes, breads and cheese. Nothing freshly cooked. There was no creamer for coffee in the room.

Liked: Great rooms, the pet bowl + treats are a nice bonus. Wonderful breakfast with lots of fruits and some charcuterie as well.
