Liked: Clean, helpful staff, in house restaurant is a friendly environment to meet and chat with other guests.

My stay at the Hostel
Liked: Staff interactions, both in person and via telephone, were satisfactory. The Beaver Bar offers palatable food and daily happy hour specials from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, extending throughout Sundays. Street parking is available; however, covered parking is paid and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Plus, there is breakfast provided

Hotel is good For who...

Lodge on Banff Ave
Liked: Samesun set the scene for a wonderful time in Banff. Meeting other solo travellers, taking in breakfast and then hiking all day was a great daily cycle. The staff were friendly and although the city isn’t very large, this accomodation made it feel like coming home after a full day of tramping. It’s also quite affordable given that most things in Banff are expensive.

Stayed in a 8 bed...
Liked: The staff were friendly, food at the beaver bar was great, breakfast was wonderful as well and they had bear spray on hand for rental at just 5$ a day.

Friendly, clean and accommodating!

Comfortable and pleasant
Liked: The facilities were clean, the staff and lobby were welcoming, and the breakfast was good! The luggage storage facility was also good. I only stayed for a night, but I was satisfied with everything. I'm glad that this offering exists - everything I needed and nothing more, for a good price. Good atmosphere too - there was a nice open mic going on in the night. There was also a convenience store right next door - handy when I was rushing out and wanted something on-the-go.
Disliked: My only major complaint was that the bunk bed was creaky and rickety - I came in after everyone was asleep, and I did my best to climb to the top and make my bed without waking the person below, but the bunk bed frame just made so much noise... Even after I was in bed, I had to be very careful to not move too much to plug in my phone, drink water, etc. because the bed frame made so much noise even then.Also, I don't know if a courtesy morning bathroom schedule whiteboard or something in the shared room would be useful? :)
