Liked: Our stay was an excellent experience from start to finish. This hotel fully deserves its reputation as one of the best in the Western U.S. The service was outstanding, the rooms were spotless and beautifully designed, and the overall atmosphere was both luxurious and peaceful.The views of the waterfall are breathtaking. While you can't see it directly from the room patio (but you can hear it thou), it's just a short 5-minute walk away - and absolutely worth it.
Disliked: We dined at the restaurant during our stay. The overall experience was good — the food was tasty and the setting is beautiful. However, the service didn’t quite match the high standards of the hotel. It was a bit slow at times and felt less refined in comparison to the exceptional service we received elsewhere in the lodge.It’s still a solid option if you’re staying at the hotel or visiting the area, but set your expectations slightly lower than the level of the hotel itself.

Salish Lodge was even better...

Liked: The staff went above and beyond. Even though we just returned from hiking Mount Rainier, they treated us like royalty.
Disliked: The construction on the valet was unsightly, but the staff did their best under the circumstances.

Beautiful but pricey...not great for...

Liked: Beautiful location and hotel. Loved having a fireplace in my room and a fire pit outside.
Disliked: I didn't understand that I would not be a view from my room. I was on the bottom floor overlooking the chain link fence and power plant. It was quite expensive and really a place for 2 people. I would not recommend for a solo traveler...more of a celebration kind of place.

Great property, not so great...

Liked: The property was beautiful. The restaurant staff was very nice and welcoming!
Disliked: My husband booked this stay as my Christmas gift. We love spa destinations and after looking at photos on the website (one of the main draws and reasons for our stay), we were looking forward to our staycation. He booked a massage for me, and later in the day we were on our way to the spa when we were told we couldn’t access and needed a special add on package to access the tubs, etc. We asked the front desk and they told us that it was sold out. I am extremely disappointed as we were not informed of this before booking, with the spa obviously being the main draw of why we picked the location. I was especially unhappy not being able to use the facilities despite having booked a massage. This should be clearly stated on the website (as opposed to all the way down the page in a collapsible FAQ section). We loved everything else but sadly won’t be returning.
