Won't book again
Disliked: The shared rooms to accommodate men and women. When guest arrived to her room, it was just her and a young male who was lying across one of the beds. She complained the room smelled musty and didn't feel comfortable being alone with just one other person at that time. She was also unable to climb to her bunk for fear of falling. When the manager was asked if guest could sleep in a chair in the lobby, guest (74 year old vulnerable female) was refused and had to spend her night riding the night bus.

Cheap but full of emotions
Liked: The location is good, with several bus stops nearby.
Disliked: Check-in took too long from the time it opened until about 2 hours later. We were unlucky enough to get a very disturbed room, we were woken up by arguments and reception fining one of the guests £20 for taking the wrong bed number, but reception gave the same bed number to two people, and one of the guests was very aggressive and the girl who was being insulted asked to change rooms but they didn't comply with her request, even though she said she could pay more for it. There was no cleaning while we were there (we slept two nights). There's no padlock where we kept our suitcase, but reception sells one for £4.50.

Very cheap rooms, but for...
Liked: Luggage storage was helpful on my check out day
Disliked: It was so hot in my room, I was laying in a puddle of sweat every night. Apparently there are fans available but all given away, I asked multiple times a day every day for a fan and there were none. Easily the worst sleeping experience I’ve ever had in a hostel, and I stayed for 5 miserable nights. The staff were unhelpful and seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Checking in took about 15 minutes and there was only one person in front of me. Anytime I asked a question it seemed as if it was an inconvenience to them. The majority of bathrooms were tiny and stuffy, making it very sticky. Something was wrong with the charging ports too, I charged my phone and earphones overnight and when I woke up they were boiling hot to the touch, and my earphones stopped working. The beers were cheap which I thought was good, but soon learned it was for an obvious reason, full of froth and just didn’t pour properly. It’s also very far away from everything, and not much around the area to see or do

Very good
Liked: shared room was big and very clean, with separate rooms for the shower and the toilet inside the room and extra ones in the corridor
Disliked: another guest was given the same bed number as mine so she had to go fix that with the reception, and then a 2nd guest was given the same number as that 1st guest... it was quite stressful for everyone involved because they charge 20gbp for using the wrong bed, but what can you do when you're given the wrong bed number by the staff? all the surcharges listed at the reception were too much (5gbp for forgetting an item behind?? be serious). I wasn't charged extra but it made me feel like I needed to watch my every step
