Rydges Wellington

A reasonable stay with some...

Liked: The hotel is well located, generally comfortable and the front desk staff are friendly and efficient.
Disliked: This was my second stay at Rydges in a week. The first was great, this second stay fell below expectation. The room felt like it wasn't ready to be rented. There were issues with the heating, a loud clicking in the bathroom from the night light sensor (it was remedied after the first night), When I went to call the front desk, I realized the room had no phone. Overall, the city view room felt less fresh that the last harbour view room I strayed in.Maybe it was the class of room (city view) I was in, but this stay definitely fell below expectation for a room at this price point.

Disliked: The service at the bar was slow and the rooms were tired and beed a up grade.The air con unit in 1017 was noisy and kept us up.

Liked: Bed was divinely comfortable! Best bed I have slept in.
Disliked: Noise from service vehicles unloading/loading then beeping while backing out was noisy enough to wake me up at 5am.

Liked: Centrally located, close to the waterfront.
Disliked: No on-site parking available at time of arrival - used nearby paid parking.

Disliked: Not clean, bed uncomfortable. Poor heater and aircon

Highly Recommend

Liked: My 18 year old son and I stayed. The location was perfect. Both beds are comfy and big. Enjoyed that there was a bath in our room and there was enough separate space for us both.

A decent and comfortable stay

Liked: Great choices of breakfast on the menu and they also offer Continental or Full breakfast. The Rydges big brekkie is huge and enough for me. The room and bed are decently comfortable.
Disliked: The heater can be a bit noisy at night. Hallway is dark at night when you come out from your room as the sensor is located near the lift area.
