Disliked: The air conditioning vent/filters were mouldy. Having a mould allergy, I could feel the reaction starting as soon as I walked in the room. I spoke to reception and ask for the vent to be cleaned etc explaining the allergy. They kindly organised maintenance to attend. Unfortunately, it didnt really help as it was clearly in the system and there was still mould left behind on the vents after cleaning. When I checked out I was asked by the man who I had spoken to about it - did the cleaning help. I said not really but it was only 2 nights thankfully so it was ok. I was then told well next time when I book I should make a note that I have a mould allergy. For $440 a night I would expect that a. it is not necessary for me to tell the hotel about a mould allergy - your systems should be cleaned and b. that organising cleaning of your airconditioning systems throughout the hotel would be a part of work health and safety maintenance on a 6 month or 12 month basis.
