Great location, pleasant place to...

Liked: Great location, lovely warm pool. The bathroom was modern and clean. Easy walking distance to The Esplanade and lovely beach front park.
Disliked: Pretty basic facilities given the hefty price. No dining options (or breakfast) in the hotel but plenty of places nearby to eat out and buy snacks. They need more than 4 deck chairs by the pool.

Disliked: No on house dinner option on the day I stayed.

Very comfortable, lux vibes, in...

Liked: Great size room and bathroom. Luxury feels. Right in the heart of the city.
Disliked: Entrance on a laneway, opposite a very dingy looking nightclub. The lane takes away the luxury feel as you enter, it is well lit though so didn't feel unsafe at night but the thumping music and nightclub patrons hanging around at night are a bit of a negative. We were didn't notice the music once we were in our room though. It's not a big deal but fit the luxury vibe of the Rydges.
