Rushton Hall Hotel and Spa Guest Reviews
Write a review
Set in the tranquil Northamptonshire countryside, Rushton Hall Hotel and Spa is a 15th-century country residence that blends traditional elegance with modern luxury. Just a short drive from concert venues in Corby and Kettering, this stately hotel offers a peaceful, high-end retreat for music lovers craving comfort and calm after a big night out.
Rushton Hall is ideal for those who prefer a quiet recovery space after a high-energy concert. Located just 15 minutes by car from both Kettering and Corby, it's close enough to the action while still providing a serene escape. The spa facilities, including a sauna, steam room, and indoor heated pool, are perfect for unwinding. While the check-in time of 15:00 and check-out at 11:00 are standard, the atmosphere and comfort more than make up for it.
Dining at Rushton Hall is an experience in itself. The oak-paneled Tresham Restaurant serves a refined evening à la carte menu with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. For something more casual, the Brasserie offers lunch, and afternoon tea is a guest favorite. While breakfast isn’t included in the room rate, it’s available for an additional £20—perfect for a late morning after a long night. Room service is available but not 24/7, so plan your post-show snacks accordingly.
Rushton Hall is more about relaxation than revelry, but you're just a short drive from Kettering’s pubs and bars for a post-show nightcap. On-site, the bar offers a well-curated selection of wines and spirits, ideal for winding down in style. No live music on-site, but that’s part of the appeal for those needing quiet after the encore.
If you're banking on a late-night snack, note that room service isn’t 24/7. Also, the breakfast isn’t included in the standard rate, so factor in the extra cost. With its countryside location, you’ll want to plan transport ahead if you're heading back late from a show.
If you're looking for a luxurious, peaceful getaway after a concert, Rushton Hall Hotel and Spa delivers comfort, class, and countryside calm just minutes from Kettering’s venues.

Don’t book here
Liked: Beautiful building
Disliked: Wasn’t told at booking or any opportunity the staff had in correspondence before arrival that we - paying guests - weren’t allowed anywhere but the spa because a wedding was taking over the whole venue. Except they allowed us to book a room! Couldn’t even play croquet as they said the groomsmen were about to. Staff didn’t know much either and kept changing information depending on who was at reception. Also hotel booked vastly overpriced, rude taxis. Uber was half the price and nicer drivers. Won’t be returning.

it's a beautiful looking hotel...
Liked: Breakfast was lovely, staff were fab. Casual dinner was horrible, I had chicken and cous cous - expensive and tasteles. Service was slow and wrong item brought. Staff were friendly. Feels v much like a function hotel for weddings, which would be great at and not really expecting guests to eat there.
Disliked: We couldn't swim as we were working and the pool only opens at 7

Very relaxing.
Liked: A beautiful building sympathetically maintained whilst also very comfortable. Bedrooms are big and I asked for a room with walk in shower which I was given. Also room had air conditioning. The grounds are neatly maintained with some wonderful trees, clearly old whilst also new saplings planted. Meals are of a very high standard. All staff were friendly and very helpful. The spa is a must.
Disliked: Perhaps a small fridge in the room.

Opulence elegance and comfort in...
Liked: The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Dave in particular was a star.
Disliked: The only issue was poor WiFi connectivity but it wasn’t too bad considering the size of the hotel

In spite of the annoying...
Liked: The bar staff and the waitresses were so polite and helpful, they are a credit to your organization. The property is lovely and its location is superb. We had a memorable stay.
Disliked: The totally stupid number of emails I received concerning getting a quicker checkin. I had some whilst I was in a theatre ( fortunately my phone was off) and I had no less than 4 more whilst driving my car! A total of about 8 overall asking me the same thing. Totally unnecessary, as is the photo identification. I have never experienced anything like it any where else in the world.

Fabulous overall, will definitely be...
Liked: Room was huge (stayed in The Dukes room)
Disliked: Drinks were decidedly expensive - £46 for 2 large wine and 2x diet coke, but its a lovely place steeped in history and overall was worth every penny. Bathroom had a few spots that had been missed when cleaning, and heating was on despite it being 24 degrees outside.
