Runaway Bay Motor Inn

East stay.

Liked: Very much in line with the typical Australian motel. Room was clean, bed comfortable and the location had a choice of restaurants within walking distance. All good for what I was looking for. Reception staff welcoming.

Liked: The facilities were comfortable. House cleaning lady was lovely. Making sure we understood not to use the light switch for our own safety.
Disliked: When we arrived at about 4:00pm our assigned room had not been cleaned from previous users. When given a new room the light switch in the kitchen could not be used as it was faulty.

Liked: Staff were very accommodating as out flight was delayed which meant we didn't arrive till midnight
Disliked: Beds were very soft and not very supportive. There was only one thin pillow, no extra pillow available to use. No soft drinks of any kind available.

Very disappointing

Disliked: Service, facilities were old and not working. Freezer frozen over to the point the door wouldn’t shut. Not clean, outside lights turned off early 7:30pm so difficult to find way back in at night. Restaurant closed.
