Looks can be deceiving

Liked: The receptionist that check is in was phenomenal.
Disliked: The ac didn’t work and the next 2 experiences with front desk staff were horrible. I arrived initially about 6 pm. Immediately left to meet with family but before leave turned the ac down so the room would be cool when I returned. When I returned around 11-11:30 it was clear the ac didn’t work, so the tech came to the room and acknowledged it didn’t work. Tried to duck air out the line and said if it doesn’t work in 20-30 minutes call the front desk again. It didn’t work but we needed to get some sleep The male receptionists was dismissed. You couldn’t ask him a question about anything because he was so rude. I could hear ppl talking but couldn’t see them (near the receptionists desk) it sounded like a good time but the sounds were above us. I asked him was it a restaurant? He said no and left it at that.. well it was a bar that sold food. Idk why he was in such a crappy mood. 10/10 don’t recommend

Liked: Disappointing Experience at Royale Palms Resort – Not Worth the HypeWe stayed at the Royale Palms Resort from Wednesday, July 15 to Sunday, July 20, and unfortunately, our experience was far from the relaxing vacation we had hoped for.To begin with, the room we were given (1804) looked nothing like the photos advertised when booking. The state of the unit was unacceptable—every balcony door was broken, hair was left on the floors, and the front door slammed shut and didn’t close properly. Both toilets constantly ran, which was disruptive and showed poor maintenance. The couch in the living room was covered in hair that clearly wasn't ours, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable—hard, uneven, and clearly overdue for replacement. On top of that, the operational issues at the resort were overwhelming. Elevator wait times were outrageous—over 40 minutes on July 18 at 4:10 PM and again on July 19 at 3:00 PM. For a resort of this size, this kind of delay is inexcusable and severely impacted our ability to enjoy our stay.Customer service was another major letdown. On July 20 around 3 PM, the valet staff was particularly rude and unaccommodating. They would not allow our Uber driver to pull up to the entrance to help with our bags, while other families were allowed this courtesy. This felt unfair and disrespectful.Additionally, cleaning services are not included unless you pay extra—a surprise that left the room feeling more like a neglected rental than a resort experience. There were no luggage carts available, adding unnecessary stress during check-in and check-out, both of which had long and disorganized lines.Food on-site was expensive and underwhelming, especially for breakfast and lunch. We expected a certain level of quality given the prices, and what we received fell well short.Overall, I would not recommend the Royale Palms Resort.

If it had newer mattress...

Liked: Location and staff
Disliked: the bed mattress needed to be replaced. They put a topper on it and was so soft you sink in. It was hot and as a stomach sleeper it bent your back the wrong way causing pain and poor sleep.
