A Sidmouth serendipity.

Liked: Paid a modest price for a side/rear facing room - delighted to be allocated one with a good view of a turbulent sea!
Disliked: Dining room tables were far too close to other guests for our liking.

Good value for money.

Liked: The food exceeded our expectations.
Disliked: The bed size was very small and unfortunately they could not upgrade us as the hotel was full with 2 coach parties. Had to query our final bill as the hotel had put over £70 of someone else's bar bill on our account. This was resolved to our satisfaction but it should not have happened.

The hotel was lovely but...

Liked: The breakfast was freshly cooked to order, a very good selection and really very nice. The location was ideally situated, parking just behind hotel and close to shops .
Disliked: We found the music in the bar area, on the evening, rather depressing much like Church music. It might have been better to have played something easy listening for example: Frank Sinatra, Matt Monroe etc.

Pleasant but we would not...

Liked: The bed was very clean and comfortable and the room was clean. It is a dated hotel and the decor is as we expected.
Disliked: Parking was a nuisance as we had to feed the meter before we ate breakfast. Parking was also quite pricey. The cost of the room was quite high too but we compromised because it did have a view of the sea.
