Liked: Excellent location, friendly staff.
Disliked: The buffet breakfast was a little plain - could you add some rolls, maybe some yoghurts, porridge ?Slightly tired decor, but when this is given attention please make sure that it is improved in an appropriate style - you have a quality period property..

Liked: The reception guy was very nice and supportive. The breakfast was good. Not so many options for breakfast but still good.
Disliked: The breakfast option were low

It worked for one overnight...

Liked: The bike was accommodated, and everyone was very helpful. I didn't try dinner. The room wasn't noisy despite being on the main street. One car did drive round and round the town for fun until a police car appeared.
Disliked: Breakfast was overshadowed by the very large coach party which got in early and ate all the yoghurt, and most of the other food by 0730. I got some toast and some bacon.

Good

Liked: I've stopped at The Royal several times. It's handily placed in Thurso, there's plenty of parking for motorcycles. It's good value and would stop there again.

Liked: The room was clean but this hotel is needing major investment in most places.
Disliked: Looking from room window it was a void from the first floor where pigeons gathered.Woken at 4 am by this both mornings.The bath had a shower over the bath which was uninviting and the bath had no slip mat.Water pipes exposed in room for central heating.Just needing major surgery and facelift .My wife and I were the only people in the restaurant on the Wednesday evening ,that in an 103 bedroomed hotel.
