Royal Station Hotel, Newcastle

Liked: Helpful staff and comfortable beds.
Disliked: Long walk to room.

Disliked: Room hot and window wouldn't open..but had one fan but could of done with another for other bedroom

Liked: Quick service. Great location. Easy to operate door card (it's not always the case)
Disliked: Nothing negative to report.

Bad

Liked: Food was good but staff slow too busy talking to each other
Disliked: Noise from disco terrible got room change but no shower and had 11 stairs to go up and down even though they knew we were disabled

Excellent location. Big room

Liked: Big room. Comfortable beds. Great location. Good to have the swimming facility which we used everyday (even if the pool was a little chilly!). The trainee lady on reception was amazing! She was the happiness and most helpful member of the team (name wasn’t on the name tag, it said “in training”) but she had red hair. She was extremely helpful and cheerful!
Disliked: Pool was a little cold and odd you had to leave and go upstairs to get changed as the floors got very wet.

Passable

Liked: Lovely Victorian hotel. Friendly staff. Obviously very conveniently situated if travelling by train. Not too expensive.
Disliked: If you stay here, especially in the summer and/or at weekends, make sure you ask for a room that doesn't look out onto the main road. You will not sleep. Drunken yobs/hen parties till three in the morning, police sirens and ambulances. Had to have the window open because of the heat so barely slept.

Greta facilities and location

Liked: Location was perfect. Right in the city centre and next door to the train station Facilities were great too. Free pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room
Disliked: The iron was the worst I've ever used!!

Good

Liked: Great place and very central. Bar staff great very chatty .Room carpet needs changing damp smells.Sink had huge crack down it but usebale . Maybe these things could be rectified.
Disliked: Filthy room carpet.

Good location a bit dated...

Liked: Good location next door to the station and a short walk either to town or the quay side
Disliked: Its a bit dated but to be fair its also not expensive so probably get what you pay for

Passable

Liked: Hotel is well placed for visiting all areas of the town.
Disliked: Booked a small double room and it was small both the room and the bed, room was very warm and there was no AC so found it hard to sleep, the decor in the room was tired and could do with a freshen up.
