Liked: Nice rooms
Disliked: It smelt of marijuana throughout the whole building. In the lobby. In the elevators. In the restaurant. In my room on the 20th floor.

Great location and really nice...

Liked: I stayed at the Royal Sonesta to celebrate my birthday. I was greeted by such friendly staff that were committed to ensuring my stay was as comfortable as possible.I did have minor issues with my room accommodation, but Gerry was PHENOMENAL at ensuring my needs were met and I was able to have amazing accommodations. I really appreciate Gerry and I know my stay would not have been the same without him!!
Disliked: There was not automatic daily room cleaning and the hotel is little dated.

Great place to stay

Liked: The location was excellent because it is walking distance to Galleria stores and restaurants. Ambiance in hotel was nice as well as the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: Toilet paper holder in room kept coming off. Would like more options for people like myself that do not eat any meats.

Checked in on March 13....

Liked: The location
Disliked: Checked in on March 13. Stayed in room 416 on arrival got to the room . There was no fridge in the room no hot water. I went down and explained this to the staff. Nothing happened. They actually got back to me and try to change my room on a day before I checked out so for a few days that I was there, I had to take lukewarm showers more on the cold side this was so unacceptable

Over all a good stay....

Liked: We stay each year for rhe last few days of Houston Rodeo and we enjoy sitting in the evenings playing dominos in the bar area. It's always an enjoyable stay.
Disliked: I asked on my way out what I needed to do for check out... I was told just drop the keys in the check-out key box. I get my car and find that I need a room key to exit the property. I call from my car and was told I was supposed to keep one key for exit. Why couldn't I been told this when I asked??

Service not as good as...

Disliked: The rooms are never cleaned until you specifically request for this. You have to do this every time again. The invoice was correct. However, a much larger amount than give on invoice was debited from the CC.Afterwards, no response was given to any of the contact requests, either directly or via booking.
