lovely and would return

Disliked: would have been good to know that we were on the top floor for my husband who is elderly and found stairs quite tiring, but my fault for not previously asking.

Liked: Excellent breakfast, we had the full vegetarian! Downstairs rooms were characterful, pleasant to sit in and the whole building was like an olde world warren - charming! The hotel is right in the centre of Totnes so near the river and the historic centre and independent shops. The air conditioning unit meant some very warm weather was bearable in our top floor room.
Disliked: Rather limited parking. Our bedroom was a bit plain and needed a bit of a spruce up.

Weekend away

Liked: Location, nice bed.
Disliked: Left door unlocked after cleaning room & breakfast disorganised nobody really checking breakfast table and topping up things. Juices always running out.

Guaranteed a warm welcome

Liked: All of the staff were wonderful. Very friendly and keen to ensure we were well looked after. Food was really tasty and of a very good standard.
Disliked: The mattress was rock hard - could have bounced a ball on it. Very uncomfortable, so didn't sleep too well.
